Manual Handling Training

Why do you need it?

Following a European directive the manual handling regulations were amended in 2002 to include training of employees.  Compensation claims are sometimes settled to almost monopoly money proportions!

What if you don’t do it?

Health & Safety Executive figures released in November 2008 showed that there were 299,000 reportable injuries at work (in the UK). The cost in pounds was not published in the report but it is likely to be astronomical. From 16th January 2009, the maximum fine for breaches of health and safety law is increased to £20,000 per offence.

What do you need to do?

Get your staff on a training course, which we can do on-site, course format is:

·         A slideshow & video content presentation to include all aspects of manual handling in the workplace.

·         A written test conducted in the form of multiple choice questions.

·         Retraining & retest is given if the pass mark is not achieved.

·         Upon completion a certificate of achievement will be issued.

·         An employee handbook is given as a summary of the key elements learned.

·         The company will get a statement letter as proof of which staff attended training.

How much does it cost?

Our charges are based on a day rate, the training course lasts approximately half a day. Total charge is usually a full day rate to take into account travel time & issue of personalised printed materials.
